A Drive to Chichibu in the NOTE e-POWER!

We went to the icicles of Misotsuchi and Mitsumine Shrine in Chichibu

We headed toward Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture from the Nissan Rent a Car Kawagoe Station West Exit outlet on the highway. The remaining snow in beautiful Chichibu City made the drive even better.

We rented the NOTE e-POWER for this trip. This is a model you are probably familiar with from commercials and we were excited to get in it. We were looking forward to driving it with the e-Pedal feature which has one accelerator pedal.

When we arrived in Chichibu, we had a meal at Yasudaya, a waraji-katsu bowl restaurant. A spectacular sauce covered the gigantic waraji-katsu overflowing from the bowl and we were completely satisfied with the volume as well as the taste.

We headed toward the icicles of Misotsuchi after our lunch. I won't forget walking through the snow-packed river bed as I looked at my feet and then looking up to see the splendid icicles hanging before me.

We received some warm amazake (sweet sake) to warm our cold bodies at Café Wood Roof after looking at the icicles. The amazake which uses Chichibu water has a hint of sweetness and was delicious.

After taking a break with some amazake, we decided to visit Mitsumine Shrine which wasn't in the original plan. We were able to make good work of the hills and sudden curves of the mountain road using the e-Pedal. We changed drivers so everyone had a chance to experience the sensation of driving with it.

When we arrived at Mitsumine Shrine, heralded as one of the most spiritual spots in the Kanto region, we were met with a large and gorgeous temple gateway. We took a commemorative photo together, made a wish, picked out our fortune and received an abundance of spiritual energy.

Once it became dark, we headed back to the icicles of Misotsuchi to see them lit up with lights. It was a much different sight from the daytime with the icicles colorfully lit up in red, blue, yellow, green and other colors.

We returned to the Nissan Rent a Car Kawagoe Station West Exit outlet and turned in the NOTE e-POWER. It's great being able to change your destination or time on a whim, go back to somewhere you were previously and choose where you go freely.
