Spectacular Spots in Oita and Kumamoto!
Destination
Nabegataki Waterfall, Kurokawa Hot Spring and Suginoi Hotel Light Show.We went and saw some magnificent nature and beautiful night scenes.

We headed toward Nabegataki Waterfall from the Nissan Rent a Car Beppu Cruise Port outlet on the Oita Expressway. There are many gravel roads on this trip, so we decided to take the X-Trail! The X-Trail will give us peace of mind so we can safely go through bumpy roads.

A magnificent waterfall was waiting at the end of an endless gravel road! We were taken aback by the grand outdoors that took our breath away.

You can even go around to the back of this waterfall! Seeing the waterfall from behind was a totally different experience. I never thought you could see a waterfall from behind!

Afterward, we went to the Kurokawa Hot Spring area. We were able to rest off our fatigue from the day at Kurokawa Hot Spring with its mystical atmosphere.

To end our day trip, we checked out the Suginoi Hotel light show! This is a famous light show you can visit year round thanks to Oita Prefecture using geothermal power. We were particularly partial to the tunnel of light!

We returned to the Nissan Rent a Car Beppu Cruise Port outlet using the Oita Expressway. There were many places along our trip that you could only visit in a car and the X-Trail was a great choice for navigating these unpaved roads! There are many spots in Kyushu you can only visit with a car, so renting a car can expand your horizons!
