Departure
Narita Airport (Nissan Rent a Car Narita Airport Terminal 2 Counter outlet)
Destination
Mt. Fuji and Fujigoko LakesWe went to see beautiful Mt. Fuji and then camped at a camping site near the gorgeous lakeside.
01
We rented a recreational vehicle since we were going on a camping trip. The X-Trail really is a cool vehicle!!
02
The interior was perfect for the outdoors and the seats were also water-proof. It's nice to be able to get in wet at the lake and just wipe it off for a comfortable ride.
03
The back seats can be put down and there is a huge amount of space in the trunk space! You can pack a huge amount of outdoor gear which is convenient.
04
There is a large amount of space in the trunk without putting down the back seats. You can easily put a golf bag back here when going golfing and use it not just for outdoor trips.
05
We put our destination into navigation system and set out for Mt. Fuji! Did you know if you search for the phone number of your destination in advance you can use it for the phone number search to easily find your destination?
06
Stop by a service area as soon as you feel tired. Service areas nowadays have local cuisine, gifts and seasonal menus. Take a break and then get back to safe driving.
07
We tried the local cuisine of Yamanashi, houtou. It included pumpkin and a variety of other vegetables in a hot pot with thick noodles that warmed our body and mind.
08
Fuji Sengen Shrine
Fuji Sengen Shrine enshrines the Sengen god of Mt. Fuji.We visited a great spot where you can see Mt. Fuji over a monument to the faithful who died in battle (five-storied pagoda).

Shojiko Camping Cottage
Shojiko Lake is the smallest of the Fujigoko lakes and we placed a tent along the lakeside where we had a spectacular view of both the lake and Mt. Fuji. We were able to enjoy this great scenery at the inexpensive price of JP¥ 800 per person for the free camping site. We recommend a cottage or bungalow for people new to camping.

Mt. Fuji showed itself from behind the clouds. I shot a photo of Mt. Fuji alongside the great X-Trail. I'm looking forward to the starlit sky.
11
The sun has set and I spent a great time with a good friend relaxing around a fire.
12
Looking up at the sky we could see the milky way extending before us. We were able to experience a great night thanks to this rental.
13
The bright morning sun shines on Mt. Fuji and Shojiko Lake at the start of a beautiful day two. We drove around Mt. Fuji on our way back home.
14
Driving the X-Trail for two days has made for a fun weekend and we are really happy with the different discoveries from the norm we have been able to make. We're glad we rented this car for the weekend!
