Departing from Osaka - Our Rec ommended Driving Course for Seeing Kansai (2 Day Trip)
Destination
Gotemba Premium OutletsOur family took an offhand weekend drive. We were able to experience autonomous parking which made it a meaningful weekend!
01
We rented our car at the Nissan Rent a Car Tsunashima Ekimae outlet and tried our hand at ProPilot Parking at Chichibunomiya Memorial Park!We heard you could easily park your car using automated parking and I was excited to use it since I am bad at parking. All you have to do is touch the area you want it to park and wait!
02
Once you specify where the car is to park, the steering wheel moves on its own and parks before your eyes. My family kept blurting out, "Oh! Oh!"each time the steering wheel made a big turn.
03
Our first try at ProPilot Parking was a success! This makes it easier to park in congested parking areas. It really was able to park itself with the touch of a button. The white Nissan Leaf looked beautiful among the natural scenery at Chichibunomiya Memorial Park. We decided to head off to the Gotemba Premium Outlets now that we had completed our goal of trying autonomous parking.
04
We were able to get a beautiful glimpse of Mt. Fuji while shopping at the Gotemba Premium Outlets!Seeing it surrounded by clouds was very mystical. The bridge in the Gotemba Premium Outlets connecting both areas is actually a secret spot for getting a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. Take a minute to stop shopping and enjoy the view.
05
After a lot of shopping, it was time for lunch before we knew it. We enjoyed some soba noodles at Kintaro, just about 10 minutes from the Gotemba Premium Outlets. This soba is handmade using the melted snow water from Mt. Fuji. It is difficult to get here by train, and can only be experienced on a drive like this!
06
A photo of the Nissan Leaf in front of Kintaro. The exterior of the shop was attractive and I'm sure customers from overseas would love the atmosphere! The restaurant and parking are spacious, there are short wait times and the noodles were delicious. What else is there to ask for?
07
Just when I thought it was time to head home, I noticed we were almost out of our battery charge. I searched for the nearest place to recharge in the GPS and did so at a nearby convenience outlet. It was very easy even though it was my first time.
08
We decided to check out the Ebi Senbei no Sato (shrimp cracker factory) in front of the convenience outlet since it would take around 30 minutes to recharge. We were surprised to see a large variety of shrimp crackers to choose from and there was an eat-in space where we quickly spent 30 minutes. We returned to the recharged Nissan Leaf, drove back to the Nissan Rent a Car Tsunashima Ekimae outlet to return our car and ended our weekend driving trip!
