Kansai International Airport (Nissan Rent a Car Kansai Airport outlet)
Destination
Hyogo, Tottori and KyotoWe experienced the spectacular scenery of Kansai by going outside of Osaka.
01
Nissan Rent a Car Kansai Airport outlet
We were soon on our way after checking in at the airport desk! We were able to quickly get our belongings after arriving at the airport which was convenient.
02
This trip will take us from Kansai Airport (Osaka) to a view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (Hyogo), the Tottori Sand Dunes (Tottori) and then Amanohashidate (Kyoto).
03
Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (Hyogo)
Our first tourist destination was Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge connects Honshu with Awaji Island. It has a total length of 3,911 meters and is the longest suspension bridge in the world at 1,991 meters between the two main bridge towers. It is also called by its other name, Pearl Bridge, because it looks like a string of pearls with lit up at night.
04
Eshima Bridge (Tottori and Shimane)
This bridge is located between Sakaiminato City in Tottori Prefecture, and Matsue City in Shimane Prefecture become a popular spot on the Internet because of photos showing its steep angle.
05
The steep incline is just an illusion and in reality the Tottori Prefecture side is only a 3.44 degree angle, while the Shimane side is 2.86 degrees. If you want to take an impressive photo, it is worth stopping by the bridge.
06
Tottori Sand Dunes (Tottori)
We arrived at the largest sand dunes in Japan.
07
The sand dunes are 16 kilometers wide. We climbed barefoot to the top of the 2 kilometers long sand dunes and saw the most spectacular scenery. At the sand dunes you can ride a camel or paraglide among other activities.
08
Amanohashidate (Kyoto)
Our final destination is known as one of the three best sceneries in Japan, Amanohashidate. When you stand on the platform and look between your legs, you can see the ground become the sky. It is also called Hiryukan (flying dragon view) because it looks like a dragon flying into the sky.
09
Kansai is famous for tourist spots such as Kyoto, Kobe and Nara, but we were completely satisfied with our drive to different tourist spots from the norm in Kansai.
